We’re so glad you’re here. June is a big month for many folks, as it marks the start of summer vacations and seasonal activities, like watching lightning bugs illuminate our backyards, relaxing around the pool, and celebrating West Virginia Day.

Now, if you’re from Mountain State, you know that June 20th is no ordinary day. It’s the anniversary of West Virginia’s statehood, which took place 160 years ago on June 20, 1863! 

Looking for some Mountain State-themed activities? You’ve come to the right place. There’s no better way to celebrate the occasion than by participating in one of our one-of-a-kind West Virginia-themed escape adventures, including:

• The Secret Bunker, a tribute to West Virginia’s unique, often unknown connection to the Cold War. In this adventure, you’ll be transported back in time to the Cold War-era, where your goal is to find and take control of the one place you’ll be safe from the launching missiles: The Secret Bunker. You must beat the clock before it’s too late.
• The Feud, an experience inspired by the infamous Hatfield and McCoy families’ bitter, deadly disputes. For these families, this multigenerational conflict was not just a neighborly disagreement; it was something akin to war — and it came with consequences. During this escape adventure, you’ll be breaking into a Hatfield homestead to reclaim an heirloom belonging to your kin, Roseanna McCoy. You must find it before they’re due to return in an hour. Or else.

Although elements of these adventures have been fictionalized for the experience, they are still based on real stories and historical occurrences in West Virginia. Our state is a treasure trove of mysteries, movements, and lots of local legends, so we hope these adventures inspire you to explore more West Virginian history and culture!

It’s almost time to debut our brand new escape adventure, ScareBnB! We’re thrilled to share this exciting experience with you, especially because you, dear adventurers, have helped us bring ScareBnB to life.

Thanks to your feedback over the last few months, we’ve learned more about your preferences, and we’ve used that insight to help shape this spooky new experience. We won’t spoil the surprise just yet, but we have a feeling you’re going to love it.

ScareBnB will be opening in the very near future, so be sure to keep an eye on our Facebook and website for the latest updates about its debut.
